Reuse and licence

You may reuse UK Facts’ own text, charts and images if you credit us. Data from official sources keeps the licence and credit set by its publisher.

What you can reuse

The text, charts and images that UK Facts has written or made are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, share and adapt them, including commercially, if you give credit and say if you made changes.

Suggested credit: UK Facts, uk-facts.org. Where you can, link to the page you used.

What this licence does not cover

  • Source data. Figures taken from the Office for National Statistics, the Bank of England, NHS England, government departments and other publishers keep their own licence and attribution. Many are published under the Open Government Licence, but check each publisher. Each page lists its sources.
  • Third-party material. Quotations, extracts, documents and screenshots from other people or organisations remain theirs.
  • Images with another licence, and supplied artwork. Photographs, logos and artwork supplied by a source or taken from another publication keep their original rights and credit. Where a page shows such an image, the credit beside it applies, not this licence.

A chart that plots source data is covered here only as our presentation of it. If you reuse the chart, keep its source credit, and follow the publisher’s terms if you reuse the underlying figures.

Questions

This page describes how we license our own work. It is not legal advice. If you are unsure whether something on a page is ours, or want to ask about reuse, email connect@uk-statpack.co.uk. If you find a mistake, see Corrections.
